About Charmaine B. Borne

Since graduation, Charmaine has practiced in Lafayette, Louisiana, working in the areas of admiralty and maritime litigation, state and Longshore workers’ compensation, insurance coverage, general casualty, property damage, and products liability. She has extensive experience handling litigation files from inception to conclusion. Most recently, Charmaine successfully briefed and argued the reversal of a default judgment with the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and continued to defend the matter through the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Charmaine has been selected as a Top Lawyer by Acadiana Profile Magazine in 2019 and 2020 (Insurance Law and Workers’ Compensation). She was also selected as a Louisiana Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2018 through 2021. Charmaine is admitted to practice in the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
